Back to school.. but first some amazing concerts!

Friday was the last day of malmöfestivalen and today is my last free day before school starts.. I'm really looking to studying japanese but I hate going back to school >.<;
I really don't want to spend my last free day writing about school, so I'll cheer myself up remebering the awesome artists we saw^^ There's always too many great artists playing at the same time on the last day of the festival. It sucks missing a couple bands I really would've liked to see but once the concerts I chose start I always feel I made the right choice.

"Inte vackrast i välden/Not the most beatiful in the world" by singer-songwriter/comedian/spoken word artist Emil Jensen. I never listened to his music that much before but now when I learnt to listen to the lyrics I'm really starting to like his songs. The talk between the songs was still my main reason for staying at the concert. If you understand swedish you have to listen to this

Britta Persson with band. We didn't plan to watch them, just
heardthem on our way to buy some food and liked their sound.
Note the bas amp the photographer's pointing to.
I can't get over how awesome the ampifier is.. If I ever get serious
playing guitar or bas I'll definitely get an amp like that.

I'm pretty sure the singer's Tomas Andersson Wij. I listened to
one song on my way to see Moto boy. Didn't really like it but I
like the creepy picture in the background.

I never heard Moto boy before seeing him live and was really amazed how great his voice actually is. The only other singer with such a voice I can of is Gackt, whose music I'm completely addicted to right now.

A sligtly more ordinary song, still awesome singing!

The last band for this years festival was Teddybears with a fantastic live show. None of my photos make it justice but I just have to post some anyway^^
Displaying lyrics on the scene is a great way to have more
fans singing along.
Old time Pong.
Obey the bear!
Sparkly head/guitar solo show off time.
Gonna beat you up with my microphone..
Good night and sweet dreams, everyone!

Yet another day at Malmöfestivalen..

Yesterday I was at Malmöfestivalen again with Saga and Aneta. (I'll write about something else soon..)
We didn't have much planned for the day. Aneta went to Malmö earlier to get make up done by a friend who had some kind make up class. When I and Saga got there we bought some random stuff, namely Aneta bought a hat, Saga a pair of shoes and I some materials for hats and earings.

Aneta's new hat. I edited the photo slightly since my hands
holding the camera were visible in the mirror^^;
Later after I almost lost all the materials I bought when we sat down to eat, forgetting them after I put the  plastic bag down so I could hold my plate. When remembered I didn't think it would still be there but went back to check anyway. I was really happy when I found out the people that found it left at one of the market stalls so I could get it back^^
At posthusplatsen we made "seed bombs". You're supposed
to take care of them and then plant them in nature.
I watered mine once then put it in the garden hoping the rain'll
do the work for me.
We also meet Andrea there and watched a part of Urban Cable's
semi final.

Fail.
No fail.

After watching we went to get some free helium balloons. At first we'd planned to see Salem al Fakir who played at 21.30 but Aneta was too tired to stay and I didn't really mind getting home early so I could Final Fantasy.

Have a great day!

More random stuff at Malmöfestivalen

Last  tuesday I went to Malmöfestivalen with Aneta again to meet some of her friends, see malmö opera(which I was really looking forward to..) and some bands. Unfortunately the opera was cancelled due to the strong winds so we got an extra hour walking around without any real plan.
Stupid weather..
Anna, Mio and Aneta posing
in front of the Bastard resturant.

Trying to find something else to do.

Found a little amusement park!

After my friends tried a ride(I don't trust the few portable attractions that actually seems worth the money..) we went to a youth hangout, posthusplatsen, can't think of anything better to call it. There we bought some food, got verbally attacked by a job coach and I meet Andrea and found Terebi Gemu's tent wich I'd been looking for.
They hadn't finished settign up and I considered asking if I should stay and help but she told me it was cold and boring before I had to to say anything. Which was really lucky since I might've missed the best concert of the day otherwise.
When the others were drinking I got bored and took pictures
of a duck. They wanted to stay for a while so took a lot of
pictures.  I think the duck got annyed.
When the Johnossi concert was about to start they agreed to leave the park but sometime along the way we decided to see the awesome queer dansband(Dansband) Klas-Ingelaz instead.

"He's fine, he's mine and he loves me so much / I'm in love with you Pär and you're making me feel like this / It's tingling and stirring and spinning and burning in me".

Then we saw Sista sekunden, a swedish hardcore band. They were pretty good live but not something I usually listen to.
A photo of the screen next to the scene at Band of horses concert.
I ate seaweed salad instead getting to the scene early. So I didn't
get any good pictures..

On our way to the bus we walked past another dansband, Lasse Stefanz, and stayed 'til this song finished.

I went to Malmö again today but I write about that tomorrow.
Good night!

These lovely books are finally mine

I was so happy when I found three advice-notes in my mailbox today, so I went right down to the post-office and got two boring school-books (but very necessary) and these lovely books in a box.

Now I got to do some math, and later, before I fall asleep, I'll read about Alice.
So goodnight, followers of this blog, please write a comment, so that I know that you exist! ^^

Emily

I just love children's books

Yesterday when I was on a flea market with my dad I found a wonderful book. Even though I don't need it and I am in some sort of economical crisis, I just couldn't stand buying it. Besides, it was very cheap, but still...
Anyway, I love it. ^^

The book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My.
By Tove Jansson

Do you have any favourite children's books that you can remember from your childhood?
I especially remember Pippi Longstocking, Alfons Åberg and Astrid Lindgren's books.

Well, I am waiting for a package with two books, Alice advetures in wonderland and throgh the looking glass. I can't wait!!!!
Pictures will come!

Best wishes,

Emily

Ukulele FTW!

Today I finally managed to upload the videos from when I were at the Trellebelle ukulele orchestra. I took while to figure out how to compress the videos but evetually I got the codes and program to work.
So what can I say about the band? They make covers of 60's hits with ukuleles and they're fucking awesome!

Ukuleles + costumes= awesome
I love the kinks original version of "You really got me", but the uke solo might
just make this version even more awesome.

Is it starting to get expensive trashing guitars Jimi Hendrix style?
Ukuleles are cheaper!

Their version of "Penny lane", one of my favorite Beatles songs that I didn't know
was made by Beatles. I heard David Bowie's cover and  didn't know it was a cover..
damn youtube uploaders that never write proper descriptions..
Trellebelle's cover might not reach the musical standards of the original but thanks to the
ukuleles it's equal in awesomness!

Wikipedia fact; Uke can be used an abbreviation of ukulele and have absolutely nothing to do with yaoi.

Wow my first entry that wasn't finished in the middle of night! Have a nice afternoon and evening everyone!

Syntjuntan

Yesterday I was at a kind of synth sewing workshop at malmöfestivalen with Aneta.
It started with a not too melodic concert with the people leading the workshop. I can't honestly say I was disappointed when it was cut short due to the heavy rain, even though I'm like syntheziers and exprimental music. it was interesting to watch and listen to for a while anyway.

Then we got to the fun part where they handed out the "sewing kits" and everyone got to make their own synth. The main idea was to make a really simple synth with a circuit, capacitor and LDR(ligh dependent resistor) but instead of soldering the pieces together we used metallic thread to stitch them together.

Materials and instructions.

My fellow synth seamstress in action.
Almost finished.
A video of my synth in action. I forgot to film the grand finale of the workshop when everyone performed together.. but trust me, your ears are grateful that I did.

Random art at Malmöfestivalen

Today I was at a swedish city festival with Aneta. We mainly went there to go to some kind of synth workshop and an awesome ukulele consert but I'm way to tired to write about them tonight. So here's some pictures of the art we saw on our way  from the bus station to the yellow living room/tire home to the 60's tent^^

"Irrational thought should be followed absolutely and logically"
When the Zombie apokalypse is here we'll all wish we'd taken those
words more seriously..
Swedens future monarchs. Sadly in real life Daniel isn't awesome
enough to wear purple eye shadow.

Can't afford a fancy RV? Just build your own snail style!
Don't want to leave home to help half dead sea life?
MSW is here for all your oil scrubbing needs.
"Oh, darling, how many times do I have to tell you not to
drive through strange portals?"
"Pipipipipi chichichichichi Pichikuri Pii!"

TG Night Club

Yesterday I was at videogame night club. It was a fun idea and I think could've been a succes if it hadn't been at the same time as a festival and a gaming convention in the same city. Now it kind of failed since there were hardly any people at the club..
But thanks to a friend who wanted to dress up and a silent hill cosplayer I still got som great pictures^^

No matter how great it looks on a picture, exposing your neck when
someones trying to decapite you isn't the best thing to do..
All non alchoholic but still tasteful.

Terrible picture, awesome sign.
Textile graffiti ftw!

When Pyramid Head isn't molesting nurses he likes to take of
the mask and pose for cute snapshots.

Doesn't that  sign remind you of the creepy dancing kid from the Cure's video to Boys don't cry?
And here's Pyramid head again to bid you all farewell with an awesome dance!
(yeah I forgot that it's a bit more difficult to rotate a video than a picture when I filmed this.. but Silent hill is supposed to be messed up^^;)

Scrapped card dedicated to our new blog

I must start to say, much cred to Lina who made this super-awesome layout. :)

I'm Emily, the other owner of this blog.
My main idea is to scrap, since I've recently started scrapbooking.
I just love making stuff with paper and all kinds of decorations.

Here's the card dedicated to Locomoi:

Well, guess it's time for bed now, so goodnight everybody! ^^

Time to start writing!

Since I've been spending way to much time designing this blog and the logo I decided it's about time to actually write something. It was just the slight problem that I didn't have anything to write about..
After a while I realized the fact that I got my new camera today, a lovely aqua-colored ixus, that ordered partly to take pictures for this blog.
Maybe I could write about that?
But not knowing enough about photography to write something actually useful it only be one of those everyday event entries that I myself find plain boring. Eventually when I took some test pictures I remembered I do have a litle tip I can share (that doesn't take a lot time and effort to write down, like a guide on how to your own lolita head pieces, that kind of stuff's coming soon, promise!).
Do you have a lot of old stuff lying around at home that's just to cute, scary, beautiful to throw away?
Just arrange the items together and pretend it's art! That's what I did^^
Here's my creations: "Ballerina murders cat at a snake infested windmill" and "Mr. Cat and Mr. Dragon doesn't like the sun"
Creative names, ne?^^;

Lastly I want to remind everyone what a great band Malice Mizer was with a wonderfull piece of caffeine-substitute. It was the fact that I couldn't stop listening to them that kept me at the computer long enough to write this even though I really wanted to go and play Final Fantasy vii..
